Brandon Hansen began playing drums at age 10 when he bought his first drum set. He spent most of his time on the kit until he attended high school at Snake River. While at ISU, Brandon has played in many of the ensembles ISU has to offer and has been the percussion section leader since his Sophomore year. He marched as center snare for the ISU drumline for two seasons before taking on his current position as the ISU drumline instructor and arranger. Outside of the University, Brandon marched for North Star Independent Drumline as their center snare for their 2018 and 2019 seasons and he returned as a battery tech for their 2022 season.

In 2018 Brandon started teaching at Highland High School as their percussion director. In addition, Brandon has been arranging the percussion parts for the Highland marching band since 2019.
